Found this at the Arkansas house my wife grew up in. Her dad was a widower with ten kids. Wife said I wouldn't find money because they didn't have any. She is right but things like this are fun finds too.
Hubley Kiddie Toy, I like that. When I was about 10 in 1960 I got a Hubley Flip Special for my birthday. It was modeled after the Rifleman's rifle that you could quickly flip it around and shoot the bad guys. I put it across the handlebars of my bike to go show my friends. Rode over a curb and the butt broke off. I was crushed! It is more that what I found the other day... just a piece of handle! Cool part was that the Trademark info happened to be on the back of that small piece!!
Yes, I belong to that generation as well .Here is a pic from 1956,Hahaha! I do believe that is the same cap gun most if not all of us more seasoned or vintage gentlemen had in our younger years. Ah the memories.
Was dressed just like that with three friends, all packing six shooters. Playing in a vacant lot in Detroit, late 1950s. One of the men changing a billboard looked at us and said "well it's Wyatt Earp and his brothers Burp and Slurp!" We had never in our lives heard anything that funny!Yes, I belong to that generation as well .Here is a pic from 1956,
I was 7 years old. This is the gun I found some time ago.
My gun was a Hoppalong Cassidy repeating cap gun
