Hey all, just have to share my joy with you all. Some of you remember that I was rushed to the hospital about 2 months ago, my arteries to my heart were clogged due to my high cholesterol. Well today I had some blood drawn to check my cholesterol (I have been taking one taking one Simvastatin pill/day watching my diet, walking, for the last 2 months) and I just got off the phone with the doctor. My cholesterol was over 320 and today it is................... 147 47 is my good cholesterol, 95 trygliceroids (sorry about the spelling). The numbers doesn't mean a thing to me but the Doc. said that everything is about perfect. Man am I relieved. Now if my kidney & kidney stones results are good (I have to be scoped at the end of this month, might have a blocked kidney & need to be removed, possible a tumor or stones blocking it) My doctor says I have a bladder of a 80 year old man, it is very thick. I will be a happy camper if this goes well. Steve.

Great job on getting that cholesterol under control!!! I feel for ya man, I have a similar issue with it. The exercise really helps, and what better exercise than swinging the coil!!??!:D:lol: As to your bladder comment, sounds like we have the same doctor!!:p:lol:

That's great news, Steve! Your cholesterol level was really high, but your efforts to manage it have paid off. Congratulations!

Steve - Good job! I'm also working on bringing mine down. It wasn't as high as yours to begin with but I'm working on it through diet and exercise. (I refused to take the pill) Next month I go for my follow up. Keep up the healthy stuff you want to detect on this planet as long as you can!

Those are good numbers! Glad to hear you're doing so well.

Congrats, SkiWhiz ... nice to hear you are getting healthier.

Hope your other tests come out well, too. We'll be thinking of you.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, it is great having this forum back up & running again. Couldn't of had a better name for this forum, it really is a "friendly" place. Steve.

Great News!!! Great News!!!
