finally got off the sand and went back to school! Didn't do that well, but at least I am branching out a bit. Hunted for about 1 1/2 hour and came up with what you see. Dug four holes along the edge of the grass area. Each time I heard that tone, I thought to myself.."Oh Boy, SILVER"...but as you can see. I think that rusted piece is the working end of a hoe. Then I hit the tan bark and found a small amount of clad. I enjoyed myself and the thrill of the hunt!!
If you watch the stuff the beach-hunters find, you really didn't do too bad for 90 minutes. Sure they'll usually have a piece of jewerly or two, but then they've got PI machines and they're working the surf and they'll usually spend more than 90 minutes swinging. I think you did OK.
Thanks for all the comments guys! As I said, this was my first hunt off the beach since I took up this hobby at the begginging of the year. Boy, that dirt sure is harder than the sand I am used to!!
