Hello everyone. I got settled in after the move and picked up my new detector. Using tot lots to get to know the machine.

Pics 1 and 2 are second outing. I inluded trash for trash/coin ratio. Pics 3 and 4 are 4th outing. There was so much trash I went back with the 4x6 dd shooter. I loved it. Target sep was awesome.

Also, found my first piece of jewelry. Although craptacular, it was still exciting to dig.

Off to hunt relics this morning so we'll see how I do in Relic mode. I'll take some pictures of the area as I was told it's supposed to be beautiful.

You have a very good detector and the 4X6 DD is a great little coil for target separation and use near fences and playground equipment.

I have anew MXT too, looks like we have dug a very similar amount of coins and trash. I have the big 12" coil though and have had trouble with picking up too many targets at once and not being able to pinpoint so it looks like I'll be investing in a smaller coil too although it will be a while before I can spend any money after purchasing the MXT.
Do you like the 4x6 or do you find it to be too small?

I love the 4 x 6 dd shooter coil. The first picture of stuff was with the 9.5. The second was with the 4x6 in the same place. For trashy areas or tot lots where you're working close to fences, play equipment, metal park benches, or sidewalks with rebar, it's excellent. It can also help in tight areas or in high grass. It was my only sound choice for working around some huge trees overgrown with ivy.

For woods, relic hunting or river bank running that have far less traffic, I run the 9.5.

Also, you can run the 4x6 on trashy areas to clear coins and trash, then run the 9.5 for deeper signals.

The 9.5 is clearly deeper but in target rich environments, makes the detector sound like a pinball machine. I imagine that the 12 does the same thing.

Your coin count will go up. Get it. You won't be disappointed. Also, grab an extra lower rod, rubber grommets and screw. It makes coil changes a snap !

The MXT is doing you proud, that's not that bad of a ratio of trash to coins. I would say you had really good luck separating it out.
