Found Near old foundation, silver-plated?

I found these two items near an old foundation. It was too difficult to detect very close to the foundation since it was full of cans, but I did find these older objects. I know that the item on the right is a bell, but I was wondering about the item on the left. Any ideas? It looks to me like it might be silver-plated.

I can't post the back right now, and it might be a while until I get around to it, but I will try to later. For now, I can just describe it as being fairly plain.

Del may be on the right track. Are you sure it is plated and not solid?

Whatever it is, I think it is an awesome find. And congrats on the bell. It would make a nice conversation piece.

Holy cow! I just found one of those bells 3 weeks ago in my back yard. I know Chasintail found one recently also. I had no idea it was that old.

Yep, my bell looks pretty much just like that. Cool thing is that it was the first non trash I found with my Ace!!

So....um....what is a crotal bell??
