Found where I also find horse shoe nails. The bent tip has a half round indent like there was a screw hole there. Thank you !looks like one of those horse shoeing knife things to me but I don't know much about horse tools.
#1 A knife "Handle" is never the "Metal" part.

Indeed and kind of on the wrong side to be the frame of a knife handle. Unless a fellow with limited resources built it out. I only mentioned knife as 30 feet away I found a blade that's similar 3 years ago.The countersunk holes indicate that it was screwed or bolted to something.
I've used one every day for nearly 30 years, and what he posted isn't one of those.I had a heck of a time trying to attach a photo. This is the knife I was thinking of.
Thank you. It's not an arc at all at the end and understood regarding the screw holes . It was probably screwed to a board which is long gone.I've used one every day for nearly 30 years, and what he posted isn't one of those.
The holes wouldn't be countersunk. The hook on the end would be more hooked and wouldn't nave a notch in it. The holes wouldn't be two different sizes or staggered. And the whole exposed part of the blade would have an arc, and it would be chisel edged.
