Fisher F-Pulse Problem?

I just purchased the above PP. The pointer is supposed to blink it’s LED light when in programming mode but does not.
For the guys that own this PP, does your light blink like it should? Also, was your package factory sealed. Mine looks like it may have been used.

Mine doesn't blink either. The instructions in the video certainly shows blinking. Curious if anyone has here has blinking.

I watched the Fisher Channel YouTube video showing the operation and it clearly shows it blinking. I feel a little uncomfortable that it may have been returned by a previous customer so am returning it for another one.

What metal detector are you using it with. Read that they don't play well with multi-frequency machines yesterday. I've run mine with multi-f units and gotten good work. I could be wrong, just thought I would ask. The frequency shifts is a little tricky. Let me know if your pointer comes back and blinks.

I own two Teknetics Tek Points which are the same as the F-Pulse but green. These are the second version with the upgraded circuit board. They do not have blinking lights during programming. These have 9 operation settings: 3 tone only settings, 3 vibrate only settings and 3 tone with vibration settings, not 6 operation settings like some of the official Fisher F-Pulse videos. Mine do not have a blinking light during frequency shifts either. The LED will blink during overload and low battery.

I’m just getting back into hunting after a 15 year layoff and due to some physical limitations, not sure I can stay with it so purchased an inexpensive Dr. Otek kit. Works well for now.
I haven’t had any problems detecting with this detector and PP. No interference problems.
When testing for the blinking light, I am in my house and the detector is in another room so no problem.

Well, I did get the exchange of the FPulse and it came with a note saying that “…the new and improved PP comes with a black cap…” which it did. The first one had no note and a red cap.
Also the serial # is MUCH higher than the first one and the programming light DOES now blink. So I feel the first one I got (last week) was an older model.
