Greetings!

I was very excited to get a bit of time today to try out my new Minelab Safari/ Profind 25 both of which I bought from Chuck at Indian Nations (Highly recommend!). I've had no firsthand experience with pin pointers, so that was a bit of a learning experience in itself....not to mention testing my machine!

Coming from a fisher f4, I think the biggest adjustment will be slowing my swing down a bit and getting used to the flute-like tones.

After having been out for a little over an hour, I was quite pleased with my 79 cents in clad and 1952 wheatie (plus about 2 bounds of garbage!). I chose a location that had been hit hard by both myself in the past and many others too.

Although we three have only just became acquainted , I know we will learn to work well together and that makes me glad!

I also was approached by an electrician (as his van and attire indicated) while I was coincidentally swinging beneath some power-lines. I had my guard up, expecting the usual scorn, but was pleasantly surprised after a few minutes of discourse that this fellow was an avid detector(ist?) himself!

He told me he brings his Etrac around with him at all times (and later pulled it out to prove) and has been looking for a hunting buddy. He even indicated where there were a few sidewalk tear-outs up the street. We exchanged numbers and I told him to come become a member here. His name is Bill, so look out for him! Another Illinois treasure hunter!

THat's all I got, thanks!

P.s.- I am in love with how much pinpointing aids in recovery time!
