The buddy I've hunted with for near 40 years now and I always have a contest at the first of each year. To see who can find the first. First gold, First silver, and oldest coin that lasts all season. Well, My buddy John got the first wheat, first silver & oldest coin so far. It was in the 50s yesterday so we went to the city park with our E-Tracs. I pulled some regular clad, but he hit the good stuff. A 1956 wheat & a 1948 rosie.

Today is another day. Going to be near 60 and that oldest coin date is going to fall LOL.

Good luck on the takeover Terry. There should at the very least be a Merc lurking nearby. Taking advantage of the weather here as well. Heavy snow moving in this weekend. Good luck, Mark

Good to see you're getting out, hope the leg is healed well.

Congrats to your buddy there, nice duo there. I've yet to get out this year, hopefully soon, the snow has melted and it has warmed up here too.

At least I did find the first bling on January 4th LOL.

Leg is pretty much back to normal, but this COPD (emphysema) is still giving me limited hunting abilities, but I'm working on it. We hunted for more than 2 hours Wednesday. Been a while since I hunted more than an hour before having to stop. It was great. Reminded me of the good old days.
