I found my first dollar today while hitting my old elementary school grounds in Indiana. Not silver, but hey, I'll take a Sacagawea about any day. It came in at around 86-88 on my AT Pro.

I also found a couple of interesting automobile parts at my parent's farm. The ignition swith plate is from an REO and a great shift knob was buried a few inches away. I posted a thread with photos to ask for help to id the year over at http://metaldetectingforum.com/showthread.php?p=2663353#post2663353.

Ground is dry and hard here right now, but couldn't let a nice day off go to waste and had to go swinging. :D Really glad I did.

I have found two Sacagawea's this year. too bad they don't stay gold when like new. They are not too pretty after setting in the ground. Congrats on the find. A dollar is a dollar unless it's a real gold dollar! Haven't found one of those though!:D

Yea that beats a clad quarter any day!! Ive found a SB Anthony, a Sacajewia, and 2 different president dollars.

Nice find! I wish more people would start spending them so we could find em more often. That's also a neat REO part, pretty rare to see. Congrats on the finds!

the local Grocery store gives them for change instead of paper dollars, I have dozens laying around the house. Thats why I keep finding them around here.

Pretty cool finding that old REO car part. And that dollar is 4 X better than a clad quarter. Now your gonna have to find a silver dollar ;).
HH everyone
