I know it isn’t that important to have it restored or even sent to pcgs but I want it to look good in my burgeoning collection.
It's a very nice coin, I would do the same. Congrats!

Don’t see a Barber half….
Apparently if I ever want to dig a morgan, I need to move to WA seems like almost every week someone out there finds one. I often wonder why that is? Settlers cashed in their small silvers for a bunch of big ones to save space possibly? I've only heard of one being found in my state, that's it. Obviously there has to have been more, but they are scarce to say the least. HUGE congrats!!!!!

Not on Facebook so Dan did show it excellent. I will never beat this. Would love to meet up with you guys maybe on a trip east of the mountains this coming summer.
Was a solid 38. However I have had a half ring as high. So initially I thought half until we both passed over it again. And Dan has detected five times as long as me so after he confirmed I wasn’t shocked he was right.

There was more used of silver dollars west of the Mississippi. In the east the paper money was for dollars by the citizens.
Not sure why.
To the Original poster. That would have made my day, week, month. So you didn't find any other goodies. Probably to excited to concentrate on the rest of the hunt.

Oops, Welcome to the silver dollar club.
Super congrats on an awesome coin!!!
“I will never beat this”….yes, you will. As ASTRONOMICALLY unlikely as it seems….it just sure as hell doesn’t seem like it right now. As much as you guys hunt, SOMETHING will come up that will trump the Morgan. It ain’t gonna be easy! But it’ll happen. For NOW….it’s just one hell of a find.
Well if I found one anyone can if you just find some old spots. Gaia, historical aerials, books of local history all have been very helpful.Congrats on a HUGE bucket-lister!! I can only imagine finding one of those.
Thanks mark it is my best and favorite find yet.OUTSTANDING ! Dream find for sure. Congrats on the Morgan, can't get much better than that. Good luck, Mark
A club I never thought I would join. I am sending in middle of this month then having a two sided frame made to Mount on my wall. Was gonna put it above our bed but wife wasn’t having that lol.Congrats on the big slab-o-silver coinage! ...and welcome to the club. Looking forward to seeing it "restored" and cased.
Thank you.Nice Find, Congrats
No problem Dan called it. I thought half or can. But it was so tight I called him over as can was unlikely.Awesome Morgan! Super stoked for you. Thanks for the target ID you shared. Your right about the halves... In my test garden, Walker halves also seem to be 38s. Hopefully some day I can get my coil over something like that in the real field!
