Anybody found a tip protector that fits well on the sort of diamond shaped tip of the probe on the F-Pulse?
I don't know for sure, but I have them for my Garrett, " Carrot. " might fit, they are cheap, so might be worth a try.Anybody found a tip protector that fits well on the sort of diamond shaped tip of the probe on the F-Pulse?
I thought about that, but it’s an entirely different shape.I don't know for sure, but I have them for my Garrett, " Carrot. " might fit, they are cheap, so might be worth a try.

Yup, agree with you. I never have done that, but makes' sense.Dip-it or Rhino coat. Both works quite well, and when they wear though, reapply.
I don't feel the need as I don't dig with my PP. To me it's for tapping around on the ground and if the target is deeper I usually just remove the dirt with my hand or digger. Tips on my PP are like new.Yup, agree with you. I never have done that, but makes' sense.

I know have some tip protectors some where. But went for years without one. I'm alot like hoser, use digger, more than Pinpointer,Like some here, I don't use my pinpointer to dig, nothing to wear down a tip and I have never worn a tip down at all in all of my years of using them. I have bought tip covers though and still have several brand new ones if I look for them. I stir the loosened dirt with pointers a little but haven't had a protective tip cover on in many years.

I wanted to put this stuff here in the thread, instead of PM, because as more and more folks are finding out that their Carrot will sit in their bag once they use an F-Pulse, this thread may be useful to them if they want a tip protector.
I don’t know anything about 3D printing, but it looks like a guy has thought of the same thing that you’re capable of doing.
Is there a reason he had to put the ribbed strip on it, instead of making it smooth all the way around?
