There was a three car accident, all three off the highway spun around. The state police had just arrived and it appeared everyone was out of their cars and OK. The traffic was moving slow but OK. The accident was off the passing (third lane) I was in the first lane. The guy in front of me stopped and just sat there looking. After about fifteen second I tapped the horn twice, he started driving. As we went along the guy is screaming at me. So anyway stopping is not the thing to do.
One, the cars behind you are all starting to accelerate and now have to suddenly stop.
Two, you are backing traffic up much more and that makes getting additional rescue people there difficult.
Three, you are part of the problem, not a part of the solution.
This was a middle aged guy so I'm thinking it was not the first minor accident he has seen. So unless you can assist don't stop.
