As an ex-cop, you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, doing stuff you shouldn't have been doing. Trying to run away just compounded matters. (Most innocent people don't run from cops) Many of the PD's in Texas I worked with would have done much more to you. Consider yourself lucky!!

The first mistake you made after getting lit up is that you tried to hide and stopped running. Never stop moving. That's how you get caught. You keep running until you get home even if it's 100 miles away.

Now I don't want to start anything but after 911 America became a police state. Cops have free reign and it is best to either stay away from them or learn how to run faster. There has also been alot of police brutality lately,something new on youtube everyday. It doesn't take much to become a cop these days, I don't think you even need a grade 12. So that's what your dealing with...be careful.
