CW bullets & the sort. What signal?

I just seen your post about all that clad and id say you have the correct setting to find most anything, especially since your finding nickels. lead usually puts off a pretty good signal so i say with your current settings if you swing over lead youll pick it up.

Something I have found out is that on my Fisher 1266 if it sounds crackley it is sometimes an eagle button. I tried checking a couple of these sounds and that was what I found. When detecting around town for coins a crackley sound is always junk. Bullets come in very solid & loud . Steve in so az

I've never found any CW bullets but the lead bullets I have found have always gave off a very good sound. I also noticed I have found them very deep. I recall finding a .22 bullet at around 9 inches. I would assume the CW lead would give off a good signal even deeper than that. Good Luck!

Steve mn - Yes , the CW bullets give off the same signal as a recent bullet, at least on my sounds only machine. Steve in so az

Thanks for the advise guys/gals. Hopefully we will be visiting the location of CW interest this coming weekend. mwahahaha!

my wife owns a cibola,i dont know alot about it since thats her baby and im not aloud to touch it  she has never found any CW bullets but she has found her fair share of slugs and other lead items,i just looked at her machine and she has her discrim. set at the line just below nickel. im sure thats her normal setting. my tejon has 2 disc. knobs my main disc is always set just above iron to block out the small nails and my alt is usually set between foil and nickel. not sure if any of this helps ya.
