I gotta say , that is HILARIOUS !!! Make some voodoo dolls of all your favorites. Just like they did on Gilligan's Island . I can think of a couple I would have fall into 1 of my holes on the beach or stuff up the reject tray of a coinstar ! Thanks for the good laughs...lol

I have posted several times about bank coin counters and that there are I or 2 INTERNAL REJECT TRAYS. I have been fighting with the local banks here and they are constantly shorting my deposits.

A few days ago I took $500’in halves to cash. Before long it read my total including $.03 even though I didn’t have any Pennie’s. They told me they were probably left from the previous depositor. So when I was credited $497.03 I informed them I was shorted $3 and made them pay me. But once I deposited $300 in halves and 11 fell in the internal trays.

There is nothing wrong with Chill's post... everyone is allowed their own point of view and his is perfectly acceptable.

So true. The only time I feel "canceled " is when I hit a beach and realize someone has been there before me. I can only blame myself as the "victim " for not getting there sooner. If I could only be everywhere at once !

You see.. He can have an opinion about others, but if someone has opinion about him or goes against what he wants then it should be deleted. I had this highly prized citizen figured out long ago.

I disagree with the OP's tactics here, but whether it's illegal or unethical, to each their own, I suppose.

But to compare what the OP is doing here to what many othe metal detectorists do is unfair, in my opinion.

I've never lied to someone to gain access to a place to hunt or as a means to keep what I find. I've assumed most metal detctorists are the same way, but perhaps I'm wrong?

I mainly hunt beaches so I don't need permission to detect them..

What would I lie about dirt hunting? Most of my dirt hunting permissions are from customers of mine...and I am usually granted permission... I even offer to share whatever I find with my permissions and show them everything... some take a few things no big deal to me... the enjoyment was discovery for me...

Metal detecting has nothing to do with what coin star thread is about... my comments were about metal detecting... would I do what he did?... of course not but I found it funny that others were offended by it...

No more deceitful than ALL of you telling another hunter or stranger that you haven't found anything. When in fact you have a ring or some silver coins in your bag. This is on another thread about what do you say when approached. We are all pirates and a bit odd if we do this hobby. This is what Craig meant. Y'all need to look in the mirror. Guys think they are holier than thou. Give me a break. Throw the rocks , IDC , it's funny. Just remember you guys live in a glass house.

These were just a few secrets for CS gold when starting out. Now , I can walk in and the manager already knows why I'm there. It's NO different than building a relationship for a permission. But let's be clear. CS hunting is NOT metal detecting.
