Civil War Bullets part 2.

So guys, i went back for a second time and i believe the yard is almost clean. Found a large cent, date unknown, a 1898 Masonic Coin, 53 dime and Franklin half and more bullets. Enjoy the pics!! HH!

On my F2, CW minies always ring up in the mid-50's (zinc range). Of course a lot of garbage and pull tabs ring up around there too!

Hopefully the yard wasn't very trashy, which would make the finds come much quicker!

Curbdog, I've noticed that lead sinkers ring up as Zinc on my F2.

The bullets usually rang up as a deep, zinc signal. Sometimes you would find yourself getting nickel signals, dig up the plug and find a round ball. But im not complaining about the F2. My machine works just fine for me.

Using the 8" coil, I would dig those mid-50's zinc range targets, especially if I knew I was in an area that was prone to having minie-balls/bullets. You still got some tabs and caps but it was the chance that kept you digging them!

I just got my 11" DD today and I'm curious as to how/if it may read those lead targets. It's supposed to have more stable readings so that's what makes me curious.

Outstanding finds, especially from one yard. Chances like that don't come along very often. Hope your next opportunity is as successful. Just don't get spoiled expecting that to be the norm.
