Circular Pattern Medal?

Hello, can anyone help me identify this item. It appears to be a medal or medallion with a circular pattern. Asian? Nautilus? It was found at Bowers Beach in Delaware. There might be handwritten initials on the back. A magnet sticks to it so I dont think it is gold or silver.

Not if it's magnetic. Coll find though. Don't have a good guess as to what it is.
