Capped bust half to a crisp

I was at the Colonial field here in town. First find was a compass, I think it is sterling. It's engraved " E.S. DECEMBER 25,1898.

My other find was a half dollar that obviously had been in a fire. You can only just make out a bust facing left and on the reverse some arrows from the eagle's foot

What a amazing pair of recoveries Frank. The Compass by itself would be and is a very significant find. Now throw in a Capped Bust Half Dollar even in the condition it is in would be nothing short of a dream come true. Huge congrats on what in my eyes are eyepoppers. Trapper
