BUCKET LISTER BUCKLE

Beautiful day in the Berkshires today . Headed to a pin that was on top of a small hill... I knew there was an old small field there... it was a gorgeous spot... full of targets.... iron targets. No worries just enjoying the day. The find of the day there was an old axe head. Decided to leave and call it a day, turned the machine off, and on my way out, half way back, I spotted a mound of rocks with a small divot in front of it. Good thing I decided to test the ground!! Day went from nothing in the pouch this very nice neck stock buckle, a half cent, and two dandy buttons. super small site on terrible ground!! The structure was no bigger than 16' x 16'. Geography was very "knobby" and rocky... had I walked back any differently at all, I would never have seen it.

That is a sweet buckle 60streeter. I am jealous of the half cent, they don't seem to turn up often here in MA.

I think I've found maybe 3 half cents in a decade. They are definitely scarce, great hunting!

Never found a stock buckle or a half cent in 11 years of metal detecting! Those are not common finds.

Wow what a buckle! I don’t find many that aren’t broken. A friend of mine found about a dozen at one site. Cool stuff.
