Well, I spent about two hours basically cleaning the yard with my detector yesterday. I am really trying to bite the bullet and pull the trash out of the area. I know that there are good coins here but I will have to work to find them.
I found a new spot along our street (which is a coutry street, not a city street) that had a lot less trash and scrap iron than the rest of the yard, so I hunted diligently in that area. I had alot signals that resulted in everything from old nails to wire to tuna fish cans. The only worthwhile find in two hours last night was a 1994 clad dime! I was tired of digging and it what getting dark so I quit for the night.
The photo of the misc stuff is from my most recent hunt. The other photo of the token and coins are the keepers so far from my yard. The wheats were my first two finds and the token you have already seen in my other post. And then there is the dime. I am determined to get some old silver here!
My goal for the year, if nothing else, is to find a Barber or older type coin. If I can do that, I will be happy!
HH All!
