As much as I'm against posting pictures of finds I decided to post some of the rings I have found with my At Pro on salt water beaches in honor of that guy that always was bashing Garrett and Tesoro. He inspired me to hunt, I always got a kick of his negativity and pictured him fantasying that he worked for Consumer Report Magazine. Stay safe and enjoy.

How about a little info. I’ve had trouble on the beach. So, what’s the secret ?what settings ?

I use no disc pro zero on dry sand, when i hit wet sand i usually drop sens to 4 or 5 i run sens wide open on dry.I think people often have problems when they dig their hole and swing back over and hear the edge of the hole ,to avoid this over dig then smooth the sand with your foot and rescan the pile.I also slow my swing on the wet sand and you want to really have a flat swing. The biggest problem i have is the time of year when there is multiple layers of black sand between the white sand so if its like that i take out the cz21 or infineum but in more normal conditions i much prefer the at and use it the majority of the time

Yeah but just think how many more rings you would of found with a Nox. 😄 Just kidding, that's an amazing amount of rings, congrats.

Good advice, when I lived in SC I only had a Whites classic III+ . Doing similar to this and sometimes using the blacksand feature it worked ok. Not near as good as my brother's CZ though.

The very last sentence is the key, that is what the bashing guy in general tried to convey, but he had a very straight forward in your face matter of fact way of delivering the message that a lot of peeps did not care for. A lot of machines work pretty well, but not near as good as.............. was the bashers message.

Very nice haul on the rings with the AT Pro Lama! Congrats!

I appreciate you going against your propensity to not post your finds. I loved looking at your post! Definitely a master in the craft. Thanks again!

Yeah trashfinder my point was no detector is the best at every thing but for me the at pro is better for most of what i do than other detectors, one major advantage to me is being able to id bottle caps in 3 quick swings i can't do it with any detector i have tried and i've tried a lot because the way i detect is kind of like race i got raider 5 griding from the south three other guys coming down the beach from the north i don't have time to look at numbers or dig bottle caps, not to mention ive taken it upon myself to be the local bikini inspector because someone had to do it

Yes cellrdweller that was a gold coin i found on one of our most touristy beaches some semi buzzed girls came up to me asking if i could find their keys well right about then the tide rose and the waves were pounding the slope i'm working as hard as possible to find their keys, slamming coins my detector was so sandy that the control buttons were stuck, so i was stuck wide open sens and the ocean was rising so fast the waves coming over the top created a river behind me ,any way when i get home i put all my finds on paper plates and a few weeks later i'm sorting through looking for wheaties and mercs i see what i first thought was 20c euro i then i spot king george 1912 . That other coin is a 1788 half penny i found on one of metaladdicts beaches i knew it was't there long then i looked uo and saw landscapers ripping out non native plants and think it fell down the cliff

The best part of the message I think your sending is the strawberry scented 2 stroke !

Kob i been waiting for someone to say something about that, those are codes to remind me dates and beaches

It is a great all around detector, i am an old coin hunter here on dry land so it is not my best option for what i do, but still respectable even at what i do. I have tried it and the max and like them both. I have the Apex on order because Garrett finally did something i have really downed them for and that is a way to control the iron volume,,,, it was just too overpowering on the max and i sold it. I really have a lot of optimism for the apex and the new coil type, my gut feeling is they have a winner with it, making it competitive and it is AMERICAN MADE!

You could have thrown in a few of those bikini pics............... :D
