Any idea how old this army button would be?

I found this (brass??) army (collar/lapel) coat pin today in an old baseball field. Near Fort Riley, KS. It is a little larger than a quarter and the back looks like it has a screw for the pin. It was about 6 inches down. In the same area, at the same depth I found a 1919 wheatie. Any idea how old it might be. I cannot seem to find the same one on the internet. Do you think it is a real army button? Any help would be appreciated.
