Another newbie!

Hello everyone! My name is Brian and I am from Ohio.I just bought a Bounty Hunter pioneer 505 off of ebay for 149.99 I am so looking forward to gettin out and searching.Been doing the geocaching thing and thought this would work well using my handheld GPS.Anyway this is gonna be fun

Hey Brian - welcome aboard!

Sounds like you're ready to go. Does your GPS unit allow you to draw paths & shapes? It would be cool to save your already-checked data for each site.

It will automatically chart my path and then i can mark my waypoints with different icons.It is a Garmin Legend with color display.

Welcome to the forum and hobby Brian. I started out with the Radio Shack clones of the BH Tracker IV and the BH LandStar. Liked them both and still have the Tracker IV for a backup. Best of luck.

From the land ofthe Bluenose.....welcome to the forum and happy hunting. Hopefully you can link up with an older timer for some tips. One of my buddies Makinholes uses a Bounty hunter and has great luck with it. Happy hunting!
