KT was pleased to see these 3 Walking Ladies at the front gate yesterday. His Majesty welcomed them in, fed them a hearty lunch, and asked how He might help them. He heard their life stories, all the wonderful and terrible things they saw since they were born in 1942, their life experiences in other words, and now they were seeking some place where they might reside and be useful in their declining years. They know all about caring for people and are wonderful storytellers, so KT asked them to put on a weekly story telling time for both His Majesty and all in the Castle. After discussing this idea amongst themselves, they said they would gladly do so, if they might take turns with that exercise, and KT was happy and showed them to their new quarters, the dining hall where food is served throughout the day, and the Great Hall, where they will be telling their stories. They were a bit concerned at first, but KT assured them that any type of stories were fine, scary, humorous, even tales of war and heroism, just so long as they were fit for mixed audiences. If they wished to tell more adult type stories, they would need to make that known ahead of time so that the children could be put to bed earlier than usual. KT is certainly looking forward to hearing from them weekly! This time will be a nice break for everyone working round about the Castle.
