Went out today back to my father-in-laws land east of Ryder, ND where a farmstead used to be. All that remains is the windmill.
I found a Charbonneau, N.D. token there last year and a later wheat but I thought there had to be some coins out there somewhere.
I checked out a spot I hadn't swung yet and wouldn't you know it, 2 IHP's and a 1936-D Merc.
I went a few miles west to another guys land who I know fairly well and he gave me permission for a couple spots where farmsteads used to be. The first I gave up on fairly quickly as my time was limited today but I went on to score a really nice 1907 Indianhead at the second spot at about 1/2" deep in the undisturbed Prairie sod. The second spot consisted of a cellar hole on a hill and a neat area down the hill where the person who homesteaded there laid rocks out in a square shape to put a building on.
The first picture is of my finds from the plowed field I hit first this morning....the Indianheads are a bit cruddy.

You did great! I'm impressed at the condition of the IHP's. I would be stoked to find IHP's in the shape. The Merc was just frosting on the cake. Well done.

Thanks hoser! Our Indianheads usually end up looking even better than those but the first two came out of a plowed field so they got a bit crusty. The third one was in a pasture that had never been plowed so it didn't get hit with any chemicals and it came out of the ground very nice.
