Well, I covered less area than last time with about 3 hrs under my belt but found more clad than last go round. Made a cool $2.01 in coinage, pull tabs galore, stainless bolt, gold earring backing and can slaw. WHOO HOO!:spin: I love this machine.
Now get this. I know for sure that money grows on trees...cause thats where I found all the clad. Spent the entire time under 3 trees. Whoduhthunkit.

Wow, sounds like you had some fun! Is the Cibola pretty easy to use?

Very! Its super light weight(unlike myself) and picks up stuff deep as far as my experience goes. Simple adjustments and the price tag wasnt bad either @ $340.00 U.S.
I am truly a greenhorn in this sport and already love the machine. I hope this detector lasts as long as the Garrett ADS which I inherited from my grandfather. He loved detecting at Virginia Beach and the surrounding areas. No telling what he found over the years. He passed away last month and I have taken a liking to what he did in his spare time. I remember using the Garrett as a kid(10 or 11ish. 37 now) and having a great time.
Sorry for the rambling.

The Cibola is a great machine in my opinion.

Glad you are enjoying the Cibola Brian, it is a great machine. I really like my F4 but I miss the Cibola I had. Great discrimination, depth, light weight, excellent pinpointing, lifetime warranty. Sorry to hear about the passing of your Grampa - I'm sure he is happy that you are carrying on with his hobby. Steve.

Brian, can I ask where you found the Cibola for that price? I'm looking for a MD. I'm pricing them now. I buy and sell on Ebay a lot so I was looking there for the best buy. I'm hearing good things about the Cibola.

Sorry to hear about your Grandpa. Sounds like you two had some good times!

I bought it locally. Heres the catch...I had to buy the accessories from the gentleman in order to get that price. I actually spent $530 for the package (Tesoro coin bag, Tesoro digger and screwdriver holster, digger tool, Timberwolf headphones and a free training course on how to use the product by an expert).

Not sure if he would sell just the detector alone for $340. I wanted the other stuff so the price was fair to me.

Just did some history on the school I have been hunting and found that it was erected in 1906! Have been digging new clad from the front area of the school as of far. I will be hitting the backside of the school this Sunday in search older goodies. Post and pics to follow.
