WOW! Went to a local high school this morning and stumbled on mucho clad with this booger. I have been practicing with air targets for 2 days for a good feel of the machine. Just after 2 hours at the school, covering no more than an area of about 30ft x50, I can make out which signals are coins and trash...mostly. Still had a fair share of pulltabs but scooped up about a $1 in change and one earring. Definately going back next weekend with sooooo much ground to be covered. I reckon no one has hunted this school from the loot found.

Being a newbie, I am feelng very confident with the Cibola.

Thanks for reading guys/gals! Tommorow we are off to Gulf Shores AL. with hopes of finding some good stuff.

Brian, congrats on picking up a bunch of coinage and an earing! Just remember if you don't dig those pulltabs you may miss out on some gold. The gold wedding band I found this year was right in that pull tab range. Glad to hear the Tesoro is working out for ya.

Really? Hmmm. I guess i should dig more targets close to the nickel setting then. I set the disc right after the nickel for less trash but still get the modern day tabs. The old school tabs are out or very irradic at the range I set.
During the hunt I couldnt step 2 or 3 feet before getting a hit. Most sounded broken(I assume was trash) but I always recheck the targets. Most coins seem to have a steady sound off in the "x" pattern vs. trash with broken signals in one direction. Am I on the right track?

Good machine

You have a great machine to get the job done. Sounds like you got the hang of it. Good luck!

good deal! im thinking of getting a cibola as a back up to my tejon. if ya want that gold youll have to dig them pull tabs especially if ya aint got that read out. pull tabs will drive any sane person nuts but you get use to em after awhile and besides there is no feeling like diggin down expecting a pull tab only to pull out a nice gold band.

The Cibola is a good little machine. I love mine. I dig a ton of clad. I am not on the same computer as my digging database but I have dug something close to 350 coins in about 24 hours of digging in the last couple of months. Not sure if thats a good ratio but I have been having fun and the Cibola is a great little coin shooter.

The Cibo is my first MD and this baby reALLY ROCKS. After some more practice I will recomend you to hunt with the min disc and don't worry to did up those pull tabs... its in this way that you get the best.... (can't wait for sunday to go hunting at Flic en Flac....)
