What do you mean by that?Huh? Sounds like south of the border?
Mexico? What do you mean by that?
No pnw Washington State.Mexico?
Oh.No pnw Washington State.
Good speculation. Not many other good reasons to have a $2k gold coin on a person at the beach. My theory is that it came out of a bezel. It's hard to think of why some investor was "carrying around his coin". So I theorize a jewelry loss.
Alright, 3 inches down in the dry sand. No one else had been to that part of the beach for the hour or so I was there. Here is a picture of it dirty before I cleaned it. I'm sure it was in the sand for a while... sounds to me like jealousy but hey, you do you and keep accusing others of doing wrongs and see where that gets you in life. Don't you think that if someone just lost it and saw me on the same beach with a detector that they might ask me to help them find it? Don't be a "Karen" on this forum. Have happy Easter.Probably the person lost this coin in front of you, and instead of calling out to him, you picked it up and put it in your pocket ...

Ok. I apologize for my suspicions. The age of scammers at every turn tired ...Alright,
Ok I'll be that guy... Your doubts are justified, not sure how one could post a coin that clean and not expect to be doubted. Can't trust anyone nowadays, and we have seen faked finds frequently here. The first photos show a coin that looks fresh from the mint, darn near uncirculated. That would lead one to believe that it IS uncirculated. I would maybe put a little more emphasis on presentation next time to help solidify the find/story. I know if I had seen the dirty picture before the clean ones, my opinion might have been different. Hope the OP can understand both sides. A sick coin regardless though, hope to add one to my collection some day. Congrats!Ok. I apologize for my suspicions. The age of scammers at every turn tired ...
The first photos were too good, and the characteristic scratches were not visible.
I promise I am not a scam artist or have no intention on falsely posting anything, just a detectorists who had an amazing find and wanted to share it with the detecting community.Ok I'll be that guy... Agreed shame on them! But you have to look at things the other way around, you posted a pristine 1oz gold coin a day after April fools many legitimately thought it was a joke...I promise I am not a scam artist or have no intention on falsely posting anything, just a detectorists who had an amazing find and wanted to share it with the detecting community.
It's a sad affair to see that every single chat forum on the internet has so much doubt due to people lying about stupid things also there's a keyboard Karen everywhere they always have something negative to say about somebody's success.
I get that, most of the time I don't know what day of the week it is, let alone the date...Agreed shame on them! But you have to look at things the other way around, you posted a pristine 1oz gold coin a day after April fools many legitimately thought it was a joke...
