went to a few spots with my hunting buddy ron today.we hit this swimming area built in 1955.ron yells over hey i think i got a green wheatie! i went over to take a peak.i seen the one cent on the back but i knew it wasn't a wheatie,i rubbed a little and showed him the shield and the date 1879 a nice indian head.the indian head must have been dropped when this area was a farm years earlier.so he was happy and i was happy for him.i had to take a pic of this rock.show's ya how powerful a growing tree can be.next we went to a old town hall and first hit was this amusement token with the hole in it, reads PROPERTY OF O.K VENDING ON ONE SIDE AND the other side reads GOOD FOR AMUSEMENT ONLY
. i got my Indian head 1884.next out popped a 1901 v-nickel.i wish nickels came out nice but they never seem to unless it's a silver war nickel..but hey i'm not complaining.a few wheaties and some clad and another hem weight.
sunday is a big hunt with my detector club the Nor'easters metal detecting club.about 28 of us are meeting at an old 1700's farm house with 6 acres.the family that lives there are cooking out for us so,hopefully there will be some good finds and a fun day.
well everyone take care and be safe!
