happy sunday everyone!
received permission to hunt a small wooden church 150 yrs old.not much in the first hour but alot of pulltabs and bottle caps.then all of a sudden.coin after coin started showing up.it's a very small yard & i mean tiny.but managed to pull 2 indianheads 1903 & 1898. 3-silver war nickels( 2 -S mintmarks and 1-P mintmark)2 buffalo nickels 1929 & looks like 1917 .a 1926 mercury dime.another CRL railroad token(ct rail lines)and a few other odds n ends and $1.29 in clad.thought i found a folded up $10 bill in the grass but it's only a piece of a ten spotcouldn't find the other 3/4's of it aroundand check out that piece of pulltab.i never found one like this out of all the 1,ooo's i dug.it says fight litter with a string tied around finger on a hand.how ironic! looks like whoever tossed this one in the grass couldn't readneedless to say i got pretty wet today as it was drizzling rainy crappy day but well worth the miseryi'll definitely be heading back to see if i can pull some deeper stuff! the merc and a few of the other coins were deep.6-7 inches.i think all the grubs in this lawn make the soil very loose and the coins sink faster than normal.
well everyone hope you have a great week!
