Anyone ever found or hunt for meterorites if so could you please post pics. Tell how you found them.

I was hunting in the wood's at a old site 2 weekend's ago,and believe i have found my 1st meterorite,you all be the judge ,here is the pick. Earl Ps the gold does not exist on the meterorite,it's a reflection off the lamp,it is all very shinny black flake

I am researching which detector to buy. What I will be using it for is searching for meteorites and gold nuggets here in the Mohave desert. I like the Garrett GTP 1350 and am considering buying it. What do you people think and what are you using? Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, Pauly
