    Hello from the Monterey Bay

Hello, I'm a returning member who hasn't been on since 2009. I can't remember my previous name or login. I wasn't very active in the forums and I think I only posted twice. I've been metal detecting since 2007, first with a White's, then with a Minelab Explorer XS. I took a break from detecting...

Hi all, a few weeks ago my son and I found a piece of driftwood on a Delaware beach that set off the detector, and upon further examination it had at least three tiny copper nails that appear to be "square nails". I pried one out of the wood; picture of that nail and the wood itself attached...

    Hammered Coin or Junk?

Found this at the beach during high tide. WTH is it? It has a cross and someone obviously wore it on a necklace / string. Weighs 26.8 grams, doesn't stick to a magnet and not sure how to clean it up if it can be cleaned. Out of the sand it registered at 73 on the AT Pro
