How Do You Display Your Finds?

Do you display your treasures?

I found a thrift store table for $10, then added a recess to display some finds (pictured). The table is in my man cave. All the rest of my finds are stuffed in a wooden box (pictured below), but I just found a great looking cabinet for storing and displaying finds. I wanted to share the info with anyone interested.

I got this wooden cabinet (pictures below) at Harbor Freight for $82. What do you think?

I bought a curved glass curio cabinet for 200 bucks that was missing the bottom part. Being a woodworker by trade for 45 years I made bottom and custom legs. Still work in progress.

I have ring display boxes and plastic organizers for other things deemed worthy. They aren’t set out, but love pulling them all out for interested parties.

I have several wood & glass cases I use to display some relics. I have jewelry cases to display my rings. My livingroom looks like a museum LOL.

I have sandstone carving I have done to display some of my relics too. The sandstone came from each site where the relics are recovered.

If I'm going to display any finds out in the open of my home for all to see , I might as well leave my front door wide open 24/7 with a sign out front saying "looky here".

I don't display anything at home. Some of my better more interesting finds are displayed at our local historical museum. I do like the displays ya'll have posted here.

Believe me, I have thought out my security. I have two guard dogs, a huge Great Perenisse, and a pit, plus video surveillance, a shotgun, at both the front and back doors LOL. Haven't had any problems in the last 10 years here anyway.

Good on you CP. I figure the things I find are pretty cool and yes, I could keep them but my kids wouldn't give two hoots about them, and they would wind up in the trash. I would rather other people might like to see the finds and appreciate them. :waytogo:

While the majority of my silver and what little gold I have found is locked up I do like to display my cool and more interesting finds. It reminds me of the hunt and the initial surprise when first found. I am however careful who I let in my house. The neighborhood has definitely gone down hill in the last 25 yrs. In my case I would think most junkies/thieves would not be interested in dirty old relics. Mark

I keep a small one on my desk with my best finds in. Another one on the back porch. And just a year or two back I got an antique display case for a fathers day present so have been slowly moving finds and filling that one. I can remember just where I found the majority of the ones in the small case. My hope is that my best find is yet to come. Mark
