What????? No comment about the "possible" Large Cent?Nice clad quarters !!
I'd lose the money I'd have to spend on the steel wool. I looked at this thing with a high powered magnifying glass and there's not even a hint of detail.Good finds. Take steel wool to that large copper to maybe get an ID. Nothing to lose.

I had one that had a hole in the center and was crusted bad. I steelwool'd the crap out of it and finally saw a matron head.I'd lose the money I'd have to spend on the steel wool. I looked at this thing with a high powered magnifying glass and there's not even a hint of detail.
This one is wafer thin.......I had one that had a hole in the center and was crusted bad. I steelwool'd the crap out of it and finally saw a matron head.

I can’t eat another bit! This one is wafer thin.......
Thank you.....I can’t eat another bit!
Nice hunt.
A close up won't reveal anything, it's wafer thin with no detail at all.Take some close up pics of that cooper. You might be surprised what the guys on here can ID
A distinct possibility.If it's wafer thin, then it's probably a KG copper.
Thanks and HH to you too.No matter if it’s an LC or Colonial it’s still a great find congrats and HH
Thanks Bill.....In that case I'll say it's a piece of copper. All good finds Ed. Being as you can see nothing definitive on the coin, then it is whatever you say it is. Well done my friend.
I'd bet kg ..they always seem thinner then a largie even with some details left..how old was the park ? Was that just a lucky find or was it an older park??This one is wafer thin.......
I'm leaning toward a KG also. I'm not sure about the age of the park but it's in an older looking neighborhood with a lot of houses from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The park is on the small side compared to most.I'd bet kg ..they always seem thinner then a largie even with some details left..how old was the park ? Was that just a lucky find or was it an older park??
