Finished the stick battery for the "AQ" ..These should give me a easy 8 hours. When I need to charge just pull them out, put new in and put the pulled batteries on charge. Also a stronger M-12 fitting for the head phones, same as used on the CTX ...So I do hope Fisher is watching. :yes:

Maybe someday in the future right where the stock handle is that part will be hacked off and the battery tube will be in it's place, inside a carb0n fiber tube..similar to the design I did in Photoshop...

Joe it looks good buddy. Let us know how well it does. Ill just say seems like a lot of work for something that should have been a simple fix for an engineer. Fishers been in the business now a lot time and they surely knew the run time was not sufficient from the start or they just dont know their customers. Thats the purpose for testing and having the right testers.......this has been on the drawing board for how many years ... weve seen testing for at least 3 in its final stage.

Thanks Dew and Earl. Battery run time on the stick battery was 8 hours and 31 minutes. Better then expected.

Perfect Joe. So can you charge them without taking out the batteries? What kind of balance do you have... and can you feel the extra weight? Id still like to see the pod connectors turned toward the coil like the Xcal and it go into the back of the box over coming out the rear. Cleaner and less damage likely.

Dew the batteries come out like the MDT and you drop another set in and charge the ones you took out.

Hopefully the next time around they will get it right. All of the connections come out the bottom of the handle, go right into the battery tube..then 2 leads go to the back for the M-12 head phone connection. How simple can that be?

And use a common M-12 connector like the one for the CTX..don't go rogue and use one that everyone has to buy or use there headphones.

The 3rd . year now , the machine was supposed to be out :lol:

, made up my mind , NO . Check Fisher's site out today , NOTHING , guess I have to get rid of my stock, who want's my F75 :shrug:

There it is Surfy. It's called reverse engineering. Start with an empty plastic case , then the shaft , then coil. Finally the electronic components and there you have it , your detector !

Saved up the clams for the Fisher. Not getting any younger and my pocket is hot. May turn into truck parts? :lol:

Just spent my saved up loot on 2700 in Telescope lens , guess Fisher looses out , and OBNs the winner , Made a deal , 4 him here , an all inclusive night with a hot Russian girl , watching the stars / planets , than hot tub , drinks on the house , and there own private room weekend get away , pay for parts only special , PS that also includes all beach umbrella , chairs , and some thick lotion so she can rub Joe down real good howboughtit :yes:
