Would you open it ? Opened see P.9

My son is my detecting partner,he's in agreement with the majority:roll:, we'll open it sometime this weekend depending upon his schedule. For those who care to, wish us luck.

If we get "Geraldoized" and it turns out to be a mini empty Capone vault, it was fun while it lasted.

HH All,

C

P.S. I will photo and post contents.:)

Growing up I took everything in the house apart to see what made them tick, or not tick. I still take things apart, sometimes with the intent of fixing them other times just to take it apart. Two old cell phones this week.
That box wouldn't have made it off the campus unopened with me.

So the consensus here is everyone one of you when you were kids opened your xmas gifts a week before xmas and taped them back up :lol::lol:

Will stay tuned to see what you find, this thread shows that by the nature of us being treasure hunters (or at least hunters of the unknown) we are very curious and need to see the ultimate end of the search. Be it a box with unknown contents, encrusted coins cleaned to ID, or just a hunk of rusted iron. We will even go to great measures to return an old school ring if we do enough digging to identify the rightful owner. We should consider ourselves lucky (and proud), as curious people rule the world.....Curt:grin:

Will you just open it...

Check this link out, it's about a lead box found under a statue..Cool

Good Grief if it's full of crap like that just put it back in the hole

Could you make a new thread when you actually open it? Or do an advanced edit of this thread and put the pics in your first post? And then update the thread title?

Open it,
No No,its another clue.
Dont you see,its just going to lead you to another clue and another clue.Thats all it will ever lead you to is just another clue.
Good movie:)

My son came over today and we opened the box. Used a hacksaw, took my time and got it done. The "92" was from 1892. I was fairly pleased with the contents, was not "Geraldoized," and as promised will post photos ................ Tomorrow !

While not a fortune, it was still cool.

Hope you'll all enjoy tomorrows post.
