Will Our Photo Albums Be Back?

I had a pretty nice Photo Album on the old forum. It was very nice to be able to pull up FMDF, pull up my photo album, and show my friends my finds. Maybe the album is on here, but I can't seem to find it. Correct me if I'm mistaken... Thanks

Me as well... right now its on our old forum... hopefully Vlad will be able to do something...he is still working on this forum...

I liked the albums feature as well. My biggest issue is that I had all of my finds pics uploaded there, with no backups on my PC. That's my own fault. I know first hand how big a job it is to update an older forum, especially to a whole different platform, so I really appreciate all the hard work these guys have done to get us back up and running again.

Same here and many of my finds went back to 2006 and would hate to lose them... I had some on past computer but when its hard drive took a dump I lost them... I have a few on this computer... I would hate to have to open each of my threads to extract and save my pictures going back to 2006.

I looks like we'll be able to import the old albums, according to Carol's research today.
I need to setup a test forum so I can try things out before I wreck something.

We bought the new media gallery and we're test running an importer for the albums, so far it looks like all the albums, pictures and comments will be transferred. If all goes well, we'll do a live transfer sometime today!

Took about 3 hours...
I would need to close the forum to do this live, so I think I will do it in the morning...

Access the Media Gallery/albums via the Media tab in the top Navigation Bar.

@Vlad, @Carol K - Nice work! Knowing that transferring everybody's albums would be a big job, I didn't expect that you would get to it so soon. The albums and media gallery look great! There are plenty of new options, too, and even the picture comments were transferred over. Thank you both!
