Who's your favorite dealer?

I'm going to buy a "Nokta Makro PulseDive Scuba Detector" for an upcoming trip. All dealers so far seem to have the same price, so the only step left is who to buy it from. Do you have a favorite dealer to go through? Is there one that includes 'bonus items' that are actually useful?
Thanks!

I just bought one thru Kellyco. Ordered it June 4th at the $160 price. Got it June 7th using the cheapest shipping $9 thru USPS. This shipped from Knoxville, Tenn. to Florida.

No bonus items but I got the yellow unit that is both a coil detector and pinpointer.

I went to Walmart and bought a wall charger 2.4 amp for $8 and a car charger 2.4 amp for $4.

We're using it on a 1715 Treasure salvage boat.

I'm lucky to have a local brick and mortar store in town that's ran by an experienced detectorist. I consider myself a good negotiator, but after spending close to a grand I haven't been able to get more than a couple of free hats. I might have been able to save 50 bucks going elsewhere, but I don't mind paying a little extra for good advice and I like being able to compare detectors and accessories side by side and having someone who has used them all that's willing to talk about what he likes and doesn't like about an item. I also like that he supports the local clubs.
If you don't have a local shop, I'd recommend one of the sponsors that support our forum.

Talk directly to someone on the phone and you'll more than likely get a discount from the advertised price. Talk to a few different dealers to see who's giving you the best price/deal. I recently bought a detector from one of this site's sponsors and got a much better deal than what was advertised.

But do they? If you are looking at ads/catalogs only, you might presume that. Calling up each dealer and speaking to them directly might (will ?) make a difference.

Check out the Sponsors list in the top right corner of this site. Dealt with a few of them in the past. No problems with any of them. Like others said, call first.

I have only purchased from one dealer, Metaldetectors.com and have had great service through Dennis. I purchased a Garrett ATPro and got a slew of accessories. I really like the rechargeable battery pack that he sent with the detector. He was quick, efficient, and pleasant to deal with. I would buy from him again.

Metaldetector.com ( not metaldetectors.. at least the one I buy from). Great guys ,good prices, fast delivery and sale coupons. Also seriousdetecting.com for scoops.

Jeff at Quality Detectors is goona be hard to beat on prices.

This.

But you need to call around as some dealers sell certain brands.

I’ve bought from Jeff @ Quality twice and Meyers once (spread the wealth) and both are great. I have also bought from Serious Detecting off eBay. And bought a coil off amazon (only because I had gift card $ from coinstar detecting clad).

Every dealer I've bought from has been great. It's too bad all companies can't be as good. Maybe a better question would be- has anyone dealt with a bad dealer- but that would be a very short thread!
