Been detecting for 3 years now and always find myself coming to this site as opposed to others for the best information on anything detecting, figured it was about time to join. I was always glued to the TV any time a metal detecting show was on, so I had to have me one! Bought myself a new Fisher f2 DD, and on my first hunt (other than fudging around my yard that I knew had nothing in it) found a large cent! Sweet! Two more hunts and I had 8 seriously old Chinese coins, not worth much but I thought they were cool nonetheless, 2 mercs and a 1900 Morgan silver dollar that looks like it was never in circulation. Yup, I'm hooked!!! So, a bunch of great finds and 2 more detectors (at pro xp deus) later, I find myself loving this hobby more than ever. But, with the recent purchase of my xp deus, (3 months of solid use 4 days a week) all I can seem to find is trash! I know I need more time on it, but it's nothing like my at pro, love that machine! So, hopefully some of you guys, and gals, can lead me in the right direction, cuz I refuse to give up on it. Look forward to reading everyones posts and hopefully contributing myself when I can. Just not on the deus, yet
