Mine would be a Barber Dime. I've dug a Seated Dime, Mercs, Silver Rosies. But no Barber dimes yet. Also looking for my first V nickel and Standing Liberty quarter or any type of silver half. What has eluded you?
Even sillier, I haven't yet located a Mercury dime... the coin i was *sure* would be my first silver!
I have had several of the rising sun Australian hat badges here in England over the years, mainly from a military training area.
I’ve yet to find a pine tree shilling
I'd never heard of a pine tree shilling, had to look it up. Very cool coin! I'm about 3 hours North of Boston so it's feasible some of those made it up here. That would be a great find. For me, it is a Walking Liberty half and a Standing Liberty quarter.
I am curious as to in what universe a pine tree shilling is "somewhat common". Here in MA, the sole place they were minted, they are "pretty darn rare".
I haven't found a 20th Century Silver yet, only 19th century.......
