I think the saint-gaudens double eagle is the most beautiful American coin. However in terms of "findability" I love the seated quarters and halves. Especially the heraldic eagle on the reverse. In particular when it is surrounded with the 'Rays'.

I've carried a Morgan silver 1897 in my pocket daily since 2005. It is a beautiful coin. Why have I carried it? It was my moms and when she passed away in 05, I carried it ever since...

I did some work for n old lady she carried one in her pocket for luck. She told me she found it by her shed while she was planting flowers. I told her that I metal detect for old coins and if I could detect her yard she told me I could. But I didn't find any silver dollars.

So for me - I like the Gobrecht Dollar best of all

A 1913 V-Nickel would be one of my favorite's by design. I have always had an interest in Native Americans so mine would be the Indian Head gold coin.
