What do you do when you find a wedding ring?

either names and such on the ring or show me a picture of your ring and ill return it. i have always been taught you take pictures of your valuble stuff in case of fire flood or other natural disaster ( some peoples kids steal it.) so all my guns rings serial numbers on everything i own over $1000.00 i have pics of to prove they were mine and i did have ownership. maybe im alittle parinoid but thats what i was taught growing up. you could blame good parenting i suppose.

Thank you all for the replies. :D

I think that 30 days sounds about right for me using the Craigslist method.

I can sell this thing and reinvest it back into the hobby.

I have kept the four I have found. I the dirt a while. Like others said, that is the reason to hunt. The good Stuff :D

I havent found one yet but when I do I will be thinking " how much is this worth and how much can I get for it "

I think when it comes to rings, especially wedding rings it is a good idea to check the local papers and possibly notify authorities. Though ensure if you advertise on craigslist or elsewhere that you do not give away too many details as there are some crooked people out there that will claim it theirs from your description alone.
All other jewellery i just look in the local paper for a month, then claim it as mine. I too have the pirate blood in me arhaar there...

AWESOME ring and great story.

Saw your post yesterday as I was doing research for Tahoe, heading up there this weekend.
