I finally got out today for the first time in 3 weeks. I sold the AT Pro this morning and the fellow that I sold it to said, "Wanna go?" Small world too, he lives a mile from me. I asked him if he had hunted an old school nearby and he said 50 times. Well I've hunted it a 100 times, but always with the smaller coils. Today I mounted the 11 incher on and followed him with his new Pro. When he found a dig, I would pass him until I found a dig. He was in front of me for 2 hours.
The 11" LG28 is now my go to coil. I walked the same paths as I have in the past. Without a doubt this coil has uncovered more finds on that little front yard of the school than ever before. Grabbed 5 wheaties 1917 1927 1938 1948 1958. A 1937 Mercury. Couple of silver dimes. Decent pile of clad. Scout clasp and a cool round copper piece with an eagle, stars and stripes.
The guy was impressed with the Legend and not so much with the AT Pro. Legend owners, the larger coils will find more targets.
