KT arrived back from errands and lunch today to find a Courtyard full of new visitors.....20 lovely Walkers all excited to see and talk to KingTotsalot! Introductions were made, and refreshing beverages were served. These Ladies were from the Northeastern US and had decided as a group to move to warmer climates, but not down on the Gulf Coast as they are much afraid of hurricanes! So they headed out on a multiday journey to reach KT's Royal Kingdom. It seems that some of KT's Ladies have been writing their relatives, sisters and nieces to tell them about their wonderful experiences and KT's hospitality. So here they came!
And they were happy to see for themselves that KT was quite accommodating! Although elderly, we like to say they are mature, they wish to add to the enjoyment of the Kingdom. When asked what they would enjoy doing, several stated that they had been professional bakers of bread, and all manner of sweets, such as cakes, pies, cobblers, and donuts, cookies and brownies. Two were retired from being chocolatiers and wished to do that part time. So KT has ordered the building of a bakery and pie shop by his carpenters and asked the ladies to draw up the design for what they needed. Once they go into production, they have been charged to supply the Castle with necessary treats and desserts for 1 year and then like the citizens of the Royal Realm, His Majesty will begin to pay for what is asked for. As soon as the building is completed, they will be able to move in and start to work. KT expects the farmers, soldiers, carpenters, vinters, and even the hunters and fishermen will be very commonly found at their shop as presently sweets are not easily found nor expertly made. Until they have their own facilities, they will be under the guidance and work schedule of the Mistress of the Kitchen, who will determine their skill levels and inform both KT and the Queen. We always seem to have need for more kitchen workers in the Castle!
KT then escorted them to the Royal Photographer who had them group based on their ages for their picture! Enjoy!
