Hi.Bill. I am an ex Royal Marine UK. 74 yrs old. Any how I've been going to Vietnam for the past 30yrs. With work but last 10 yrs staying there 3 months at a time. Even married a sgn girl.There is an old air strip near Quang Tri look for a big tree there , maybe you can find the AK47 bullet that ripped threw my chest and out my back, I would like to have it.............

Plus I am taking a metal detector out with me to do some work for the local museum in Tuy Hoa.

Trouble is knowing the vietnamese they will have chopped it down for fire wood.

You've come across a very old thread started in 2011. Sad to say FloridaBill has gone to that great metal detecting place in the sky.
He says he is going to become a Marine ... so you may want to ask him to find your sea bag ...See if you can find my duffle bag. I'm still waiting on it. It should have been shipped out of there in 1969.
