I seem to recall that there are people on this forum who do hunt those areas.

They do, but I believe they are strictly controlled. As too many artefacts
were ending up on eBay. Or for sale in shops close to the battlefields.

Welcome to the forum Dave!

You've come across a very old thread started in 2011. Sad to say FloridaBill has gone to that great metal detecting place in the sky.

Hi Bill,

First off, welcome to the forum.

Vietnam is my favorite place to go and get a haircut. I wish we had Vietnamese style barbershops in this country.

This makes me wonder what happened to the original poster Griff94?
I worked at a VA medical center for 31 years, 6 months and 4 days.
I spent a great deal of time with vietnam veterans.
Out of the thousands of veterans I served, only two were commissioned officers.
