Went for a quick hunt to the site of two forts dating from the 1840s to the 1850s. The bullets found have been pretty much all musket balls fitting the period. Same with buttons and coins. A 1840 seated dime, an 1839 seated half dime, and an 1835 capped bust half dime. I found a lead toy soldier that I'm trying to date. I don't know much about them so I don't know if it is period or latter.

Thanks

Looks WWI to me.
Like the ridges on the boot.

Definitely depicts a ww1 soldier but could have been produced during or after ww1.
Cloth wrapped puttees as a uniform item seems to have disappeared from most nations shortly after ww1. Im sure they were not very practical to get dressed.

Very nice. Too bad it's not all there. I agree with WWI. That soldier has been missing in action for a long time.
