Trying to give up on the beach

So I normally go out in the woods but when the ground is frozen I do some beach hunting. Today the weather was not so good so I went to the beach again it was so windy I was having a hard time hearing the targets I was hoping to not find anything so I would get back to the woods. But I’m a crack head when I find stuff and I have to keep going back. So it’s hard to see but it’s a large cent a buffalo with a date and a little more silver

very good finds, I like the woods and fields also, but would never give up beach hunting. The woods I find things from a long time ago. The beach , people drop things every day and every hour.

Great finds ! Now don’t get me wrong I like gold just as much as the next guy but I seem to be more impressed and stoked when I can find some history . Summer time all I do is hunt for gold but winter I sneak away to areas most overlook and hunt for the hostory when there’s no storms eroding the beach. Never found a large cent and in SoCal thats pretty unheard of but I have recovered a lot of old silver coins dating Back to 130+ years . Not that impressive for the east coast but in California on the beach that’s pretty hard to find . Found some gold and silver signet rings and older jewelry but again anything I can date as historic is when I get excited so if I were you I would hammer that area hard and pull all the history I could from that spot ;) super impressive so far, I look forward you seeing what else you uncover there . Til then GL&HH

Don’t feel bad about being a cracker and having to keep going back, we are ALL crackers when it comes to this hobby. I have some DEAD sites I keep going back to for the same reason…I’m a cracker!

Me too. But the good about "in the water", things constantly change, so there is always that chance?
