Each over 100 years old! They have had a LONG History so KT is happy to see them arrive today! The Royal Guards, being well trained, escorted them into the Royal Courtyard and alerted His Majesty of their arrival! KT had the Royal Kitchen send out a pitcher of ice cold lemonade and 4 glasses on a silver platter for us as we sat in the shade of an oak tree in the Courtyard and visited. It had been a long and arduous journey for them to finally enter KT's Royal Kingdom and they begged KT not to have them leave! KT was certainly sympathetic to their long stories....two had actually been sent to Europe as pay for the American Troops during WWI, finally returning safely to the USA after several years. They show the wear of their trips and long lives, well earned representing the USA where ever they were! And then again in WWII, they went back over to Europe and even into the Pacific theater to serve with our brave troops and nurses, and again arrived back in the USA....with just a little more wear. A few years back they stayed with an older gentleman who adored them for what they stood for, and finally passed into the hands of a well respected coin dealer who sent them to KT, knowing they would be treasured for what they are!
KT was happy to receive them and give them the proper care and attention that older silver halves expect for their years of service to our nation. A group picture was taken before sending them off to the Royal Bathes and a clean set of clothing. KT looks forward to seeing them at the Royal Dinner Table tonight!

Silver is a beautiful metal and looks a lot prettier than the mix that is used nowadays.
